Default trying to pass emissions.

ok guys i need help, my car is a 95 civic lx 4dr w/ a d16y7 long block thrown in, i have checked the ecu codes and they are 3 5 7 10 41.

everything but my nox was fine, and my codes saying the map and tps are bad, which sucks because i bought a new throttle body (used) last year and the tps on it already went out.

But since its nox im lead to believe the engine is running hot (atleast in compression chamber). so code 10 is intake air temp sensor (IAT) which i cant find anywhere. the best info on the location for it is before the throttle body (so i imagine similar to a mass air flow) but there is nothing near or before the throttle body but map and tps. DO i even have a IAT?

i just replaced the o2 sensor today, so im thinking the 41 code is bad wiring somewhere in the harnes (which is not good news).

just ordered a new cat for extra help also.

i have a spare map sensor also, and i would imagine that both wouldnt be bad (i will have to trace the wiring) i have switched them out and still get the error code.

and i know its not the ecu because its brand new not even a year old (unless some horrid evil circuit is shorting out my ecu, then im even more screwed)

any tips would help allllot tho as how to pass nox on emissions

i have heard retard timing a few deg but i dont have a timing light is there anyways to do this w/o a adjustable cam gear (eg. aem) or timing light (crosses fingers)

again thanks in advance for anyhelp given.

nox can also be caused by carbon build up, leading to high compression. try running some sea foam....

also, make sure u didnt switch the map sensor and TPS plugs. they both plug in the same.

Get a timing light from Auto place, not too expensive and you can always use it later on. Or see if a neighbor or friend has one.

Trying to advance timing is like telling a blind man to choose out his favorite porno.

Reset your ECU after you replace the parts. Also, get the engine really hot before you take it to get smogged.

hey guys... ive been thinking about the o2 heater, i have read that the ceramic core must be hotter than the exhaust to function properly. i am still receiving the 41 code for a bad heater, and w/ a new o2 sensor i know the problem is either the wiring or the power source. is the power supply for this a coil? and what are the chances of that coil going bad in say.... 10 yrs of driving (:

have gotten the map and o2 codes off the ecu.
still need to drive for a bit to have it fully reset... tho

is there anyway to change the tps w/o a new throttle body?
as i have 2 throttle bodies already and both tps are bad

anyone know of an aftermarket company that makes these?

thanks in advance.
