Trying to lower the REAR of my Sedan.
First time lowering a sedan and doing the rear.
I have a 00 Sedan, wondering...
I was trying to find the top portion (the top hat) of the shocks in the rear.
I can't find it, I know it's under the carpet or whatever, but is it right behind the seats and that little puffy thing of it?
OH YEAH, one more thing
what if I just lowered the front of my car with s-techs and stock shocks and left my rear alone, would that make any difference?

dude if you can get the shock off the control arm then everything els should be easy. but if the bolt is fused together with the bushing then you will be racking your head trying to find the bushing. good luck on the lowering. im waiting on my bushing right now, they should be here buy friday. my car been siting around for two weeks now.

well, yeah, i know that, but since i already have another set of suspension, all i have to do is take off my old one and put on my new one, i was just wondering if i needed to find the top portion in the trunk to install. If i don't need to locate the top and just find the bushing from the outside and just put it up, i'll be okay right???
thanks cyang

it under the carper right behind the seats. They look just like the front top hats. Shock rod in the middle, and 2 bolts ont he side.
If you cant find the top hat, are you sure you can swap suspensions?

What the heck are you talking about? He isn't talking about that part. READ.
And you should be able to fine it back there. It might be lower than where your looking. Just take the carpet out and you will find it. It's there.

dude if u lowered just the front of your car that would be kind of cheesy. but it would sit so aggressive, ecspecially with a four door, i love the way they sit.

well, my subs and other stuff leave the rear on the stock suspension 2 finger gap
that sounds like the drop that the s-techs give already, if i use the s-techs for the rears, i'd be tucked in, and probably 2 fingers in the front. am i right?

umm...
How much do the subs weigh? Like 300 pounds? Take out the subs, and do the suspension right. Half-assed is not the way to do things.
