ok its a dead stock 92dx hatch it used to run and start fine not it wont crank at all no click nothing and it not the battery all ready cheaked that help me out guys

i looked at the starter but that was it wouldent it do some thing ive seen a badd starter before and i dont think thats what it is any one else?

its the starter. thats most logical. take it out and get it tested- way easy- if not that check the wires. sometimes theres a bad connection. that's what happened to one of my car. i bought brand new starter and it ended up to be a corroded hot wire. wasted 84 bucks! can't return it

check and make sure all the wires are where they are supposed to be and make sure they are plugged in...went out 2 weeks ago wit my boy and his type R started banging the gears real hard and went to go eat...finished/tried to start the car and wouldnt turn over...were stumped for about 15 minutes then realized a plug came loose on the starter...that was it...

Starters can go bad and maybe that's it but how do you know the battery is dead? A battery with a dead cell will read 13 volts but will short under a mild load. Lights and everything come on and stay on when you try and crank?

try getting jumper cables and give it a try. if it starts then maybe the battery is to blame but more likely its the starter or connections. easy fix

I dont think it's the starter.. if it were the starter i think there would be a click.. then again i could be wrong.. so i would probably say check the condition of the positive terminal, or if there is any battery acid, it may have eating the wire up, and youre not getting enough amperage to start the car.. just my guess..

ok guys its not the batt. for sure i tryed using my bat on it already i tryed to push start it and its turns on and run rally poorly for a sec or two andthen dies what could cause this it does have one code but its the same code thats ben there since she bought the car a code 10 im really stomped and shes depressed with her car someone plase help TIA

we told you the starter check all connections to starter especialy power wire. if the connections are good then maybe the starter isn't disengaging. thats why it starts and when it idles it will die. this will also cause it to run really shitty for a few seconds and then die. go get it tested or get a new one.

you cant tell if the starter is bad by looking at it necessarily, it could be the starter and the next thing i`d go to is the alternator, could also be a bad relay... check all that , u might need to borrow a multimeter from somebody to check the relays

hey maybe you slipped a tooth on the timing belt.... or a sensor could be bad if your saying that it's reading a engine code....

ok guys i tryed some thing diff today i tryed getting a wire and just making contact like the starter would on its own and it turns over rally fast just doesnt turn the motor, and could a bad starter make the car run really bad like when i push started it it seemed the more gas i gave it the more it wanted to die could the starter be making the motor really strain to turno its self if its like stuck in place? any help would be nice thanx guys

If you were able to bump it and it just runs shitty then its not the starters problem. Have you tried pulling the spark plugs and seeing if anything looks wierd about them. Are you sure that the motor is getting fuel. Maybe you have a clogged filter or line. Just throwing out some suggestions.
