Trying to bolt on my OEM seat but the rail wont line up?? Urgent!
I'm trying to put back my OEM Si seat so that I can use it in the winter but the rail isnt lining up right and its very frustrating
If I bolt in the front left, the rear left won't be anywhere close to being able to put the other bolt on.
If I bolt in the rear left, the front left doesn't line up to put the bolt in.
Whichever side doesn't go in is sitting high.
I've tried playing with the other rail but no success. I have tried to align both rails and move one rail forward or back and nothing works.
Any ideas?
Heres a pic from when I took it out a few months ago.
Thanks.

I had a similar problem on a 93 and a 00 coupe.
Put the three bolts that do line up in loosely...like halfway...and then have a friend push the other rail into place will you slip the bolt in and tighten it down decently and then just work your way around...
Hit your carpet up with some cleaning foam too

I tried doing 3 bolts but then the last one is so far off :-/
I tried putting my weight on it and it does not move much
I vacuumed it all up, though I could use some foam. I'm doing a lot of interior mods once it warms up and I'll def do that!

What way does it need to go? You could use a pry bar or a line up bar to assist in getting it right

The front left needs to go down. I have a feeling the right side rail is affecting it. Its obviously too strong to bend so the right rail must be touching the floor somewhere not allowing it the left rail to slide in. Let me go try again and post back./

That isn't far at all...mine was off considerably more on both of the coupes.
I'm not insulting your intel but make sure you're pushing down on the rail itself...and not on the seat...the seat pushing will get you no where...the civic rails and the integra rails I used both had alot of play when I was working them in.
As mentioned above you can use a prybar to get to help for leverage. Best of luck.

Got the bolt lined up and I must of been going in sideways bc it was getting hard and then it just snapped! Now I have a bolt in there and possibly ruined threads and I need 1 bolt :-(

AHH...that sucks bro. If you're careful I'm sure you can get it out and re-thread it with a good tap.

I dunno why either. When I swapped my GSR cloth seats into my EG it was the same thing, except the back right bolt (closest to center console) wouldn't line up. I had my dad push and wiggle the seat a little while I was in the back, and it lined up just enough to get the bolt it.
Same with the passenger side, too. Both seats have Civic rails.

Yeah, I haven't had a single set of seats line up perfectly yet....so the fact that this is unique for you is a good sign lol. What's your plan of attack on getting that bolt out?

I've had similar problems,
sometimes the track on one side is just a tooth futher than the other side,
count your teeth and make sure both sides are equal.
other than that, I had a ek si seat in my eg when I got it and it was way off...
good luck.
and that's some dam nice carpet haha
