Trunk Release
Yea Yea Yea, I know i should be talking about my motor, bu tthis is the thing that has nagged me the longest. I have a 93 lx. When I pull up the trunk release, it releases the trunk, but when I let go, it locks again. I have to use a key every time. I have replaces the trunk latch with no improvement.
Any suggestions?

I agree, I had this same problem with my hatch untill I replaced the shocks. I dunno if the trunk has the same type of rubber stoppers as the hood but if so you could back them out a little so that they will put the trunk under a bit of tension and that should "pop" the trunk enough for the latch to release.

Re: (upgraded)
if your civic is a coupe like mine, you should be able to see some black bars around the top of your trunk by the rear deck...these are the tension bars JMaxx is talking about and they put tension on the trunklid to pop it up enough when you pop your trunk so that it doesn't relock...which is what yours is doing. One of them might've come loose or they could just be worn out.....check into those tension bars and that should solve your problem....
