Rained hard last night and i checked the boot again. it was soaked.

I found where the water is commin in, its appears to be from the vent gasket and also from a body sealer on both corner lights. is this normal???

here are some pics

1: Leaky Left corner and leaky vent. I dunno how the water is getting in where the brown sealant is cause I can't see any holes from the outside.

2. Leaky Right corner in the EXACT same place (without vent tho), once again can't see how its getting in. is this a common prob?

3. Also there is water on the gasket

4. And water trunk side of the gasket

7. This equates to a leaky boot below the latch

8. Flowing up into the tire well i guess also (i hope its not commin from anywhere else in this area!)

So is it common for the body to actually leak water through on both corner tail light seam. Its commin in through the brown sealer but i dunno how exactly. WHat should i seal it with. I took the tails out but can't see where its commin in. Should i seal from the inside or outside?

I can fix the numberplate leaks and ill try silicon up the gasket but i dunno if my boot shuts right cause i can push down on it when closed as mentiond (maybe adding to leaks)

I also have the same problem. When it rains or when i wash my car, i alway end up with water near the rear break light in back of my hatch back. i cant figure out were its coming from. i was thinking it is coming out of that rear black vent near the rear brake light but im not sure

YEs it will be comming out the vent and white clips

I know where my water is comming from

MY QUESTION IS: IS IT NORMAL FOR THE BODY SEAMS TO LEAK AROUND THE TAIL LIGHT CORNERS

obviously Honda didn't engineer their cars to leak. Mine leaks too, but from the taillight gasket which i replaced and have been dry since then. I was missing a plug as well, right behind the wheel well. Water came through that. Found a plug laying in the spare tire well, and it fit. No more leak for me. You could try putting some underbody coating to try and fix those holes so that they don't leak anymore.

mine do not leak (2000 si), but if you KNOW where they are coming from, go to autozone or somewhere and get some marine sealant and seal them back up
