Troubleshooting Del Sol S d15b7 93 Plz Help Me
Car will not start after attempting a dry start 5+TIMES
My inital thought was that the fuel pump was dead...
I replaced the fuel pump... i heard and saw it work its magic with the key turned in the ignition.
I saw no dirt or debris in the fuel tank
There is 8/10th's a tank full of clean 91 octane
I replaced the fuel filter not that long ago (9 months) and im not sure about how the injectors fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator come in to play in this situation
I checked the battery -+
fuses
relays
switches
fuel pump
replaced the cap n rotor
replaced the gas cap oem honda
rewired my ignition wires with new connectors
disconnected and reconnected battery/cleaned the terminals and replaced the connectors
checked firing order
HELP ME
1.)whats the typical life span of a fuel filter in a dirty enviroment/dusty?can it cause a fuel injected car like mine to stop running?
2.)whats the typical life of an injector on a honda d15b7 ?:: 160,000mi now
3.)what are the benifits from replacing injectors, is there any potential in up^ing the cc's and using an ignition controller to create more power?
4.)can dirty spark plugs? and a dirty fuel filter? be enough to cause a car from starting?
5.)are there any other things I could try to do to fix this my self I might have over looked some weakness in the ignition system or fuel injection
6.)how can i test to see the distributor is bad?
7.)how do i gap spark plugs to a certain 0.039th an inch?
anyone selling a multimeter for about 5$ cuz thats all the money i have
I hate paying mechanics for work i can do with a screwdriver and vicegrips in my driveway in half the time while baking and preparing cookies for the oven

What happens when you turn the key? If there is clicking then your starter is shot. If the motor just keeps turning over theres a good shot your ignitor coil burnt out.

Re: (Elwuudz)
Take one of the plugs out and make sure you've got spark. Make sure the plugs are gapped correctly too. You covered the fuel system, you need to look at ignition.
Good EFI wisdom:
Most fuel problems are ignition problems.

did you check and see what the load is that the battery is drawing when trying to start. If it drops below i think 10 volts the car will not start to due lack of voltage

Re: (hondaman1320)
ICM you were !!expletive right!!
the coil and igniter control module suffered severe blunt impact from my driving skills
I will eventually post up some footage of how quickly my driving style reveals the integrity of most hondas
