Troubleshooting The Check Engine Light
Approximately 2 days ago, the check engine light woke up on my 1997 Civic EX 2-Door Coupe.
I connected to the computer and did the scan. The computer reports back code P0452 - Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Low.
I have the factory technical manual and the Chilton manual for the car.
I began with the Chilton manual since it is easier to understand. Much of what I read also appeared in the factory manual (i'm guessing the factory technical manual is a source of information for the Chilton.
The first thing discussed is the fuel cap. I checked to see that the cap was properly applied and filled the car with gas. My gut instinct is telling me that this will NOT solve the problem.
I'd like to hear from other 1997 Civic EX owners who have had this problem and what the resolution is.
Thank you in advance
