Trouble with some possible A/C lines.
Hey Honda-Tech i just wanted to see if i could get any help on this issue at hand .
I'm in the process of restoring my Honda civic coupe 1995 ex model and today i was taking out all the A/C lines and came across these lines well i know it had to do something with A/C cause one of the lines was connected to the receiver dryer so there for i started taking out each line one by one then stopped when i came across the end i was cutting them off and then i said to myself let me see where it's going so i grabbed a flash light and it appears it leads to the steering rack on the driver side i see it is a in-let and a out-let, then i noticed green liquid that smells like r-134a for so I'm guessing it is in the liquid state now I'm working for Honda but new and I'm trying to look it up in my school books but can't seem to find out what this is ... HELP ...
here are some pictures for some better understanding.
1. The main line that was in front of the car by the radiator
2.Area where the round ended line was at.
3. The lines where i cutted to remove them
4. and where the lines lead to .
5. This is what came out of the lines.

What exactly is your question.. yes thats the liquid from inside the lines .. why you cut them idk.. i guess if you wanna half *** it thats ok .. you could have just disconnected them from the firewall ..

It's the oil cooler for your power steering. Strange color though.

Well it seems that someone remove the pump and resevoir and rerouted the hoses to use only the oil cooler. The oil cooler was needed when the hydraulic fluid was pumped through the steering box. I doubt it that you need any cooling since you are not using a pump. But I would think that you will need some oil inside the gear box before you plugged it up.
