Trouble with my mini me.
OK so i wired everything up and its in limp mode. Could limp mode be caused by the lack of a knock sensor? Or could it be caused from me using my d16y7 intake manifold? or both? i would like to know quick if anyones here. thanks

SOHCs did come with knock sensor, not all but some. I am not sure what code it is cause i dont have a diagnostic machine.
There is a thread on codes but i do not know which program is used to play the movie showing how to read the code.

y8 head on a y7 block running a p2p ex ecu, yes you will need the knock sensor screwed in and wired to the ecu or you will be in limp mode with a cel and the car will bog like crazy. How do I know? I did the same swap and experienced the same problem. I got knock sensor wired in and all the cels went away and the car ran fine.
And what's this about using the y7 intake manifold? That manifold uses a 3-wire iacv which will not work with the p2p ex ecu. You need a d-series intake manifold that utilizes the 2-wire iacv on the back of the manifold and modify your stock harness so you can connect it to the ecu.

Re: Trouble with my mini me. (chowmien)
so i gotta get the y8 manifold in order for this to work?
i already have the knock sensor plugged in, so could my y7 manifold be making limp mode turn on?
