tried 4 ecu chips and still.....
vtec doesn't kick in when i want it to .
i've tried 4 kenji ecu chips and vtec doesn't kick it at 5300 like i want it to . i don't think all 4 chips could be wrong. vtec kicks in at 57-5800 with all the chips.
you guys think it could be my tach thats wrong? that would suck cause that means i would be shifting early

Yeah thats possible seeing as the factory tachs are not entirely accurate... ive heard of some being very off....... findout when fuel cut is on ur specific car and I believe factory rated its supposed to be like 7200rpms on the Z6... and see how different the actual readings are...

try the ecu on a different car and see what that does...we've come across a couple of client's cars where the vtec doesnt hit exactly where we had the chips programmed to. the stock tach isnt the most precise tach in the world...and if your rev limit differs too, try checking your ignition timing and set it back to stock if possible. hope this helps.
