i have a 1996 honda civic DX
was wondering whats the amount of transmittion oil (qts) that i have to put in and what type should i use that's recommended by Honda ?

is it a manual or automatic tranny?
Honda recommends only they MTF or auto tranny fluid.
I suggest you find a helms manual or an acutal honda service manual so you can answer the questions on your own.
These are available online so you can download them.
Think of it as an investment in your car..

If it is a manual it is 1.8L or 1.9qts. Auto is 2.7L or 2.9qts.
For manual trans you can use honda MTF, or if you feel like spending some more money, GM syncromesh MTF, or Amsoil syncromech MTF. Auto I'd stick to the honda brand.
