Transmission Swapping information
I have a 93 del sol , with a d16z6 and stock manual trans (S20)im coming up on 260k on the trans now and my synchros are pretty much shot , and me being a mechanic(sigh) i could pretty much get my hands on anything dirt cheap , i wanted to know rather then sticking the with same kind of trans if i would be better off getting a trans from something else , 96 ex , etc blah, u kno what i mean , something with different , better?, gearing that i would be better off with ,
Any suggestions??

that tranny is fine, the same kind that is. practically the best you can get for a sohc without making your own gears.
but you could try a cx? tranny. the one with hella long gears. I hear stories of people pulling 130mph and still going.
