Default help me on a transmission swap in 99 d16y8 civic ex coupe

Ok i blew 2nd gear in my d16y8 99 civic ex but i have an s20 tranny out 92-95 civic i used to have both are 5 sp i was woundering how much effort it will take to put in the 92-95 tranny into my 99 or will it fit or work at all

its identical to your stock tranny externally. shift forks are aluminum in the 92-95 and steel in the 96-2000, other than that they are the same.

Yeah that tranny is just been sitting at my house for a while just woundering if theres much work in putting it in my car will it fit perfectly and maybe i'll have to change the wires

your lower tranny brace might not fit and one of the bolts for the cover plate doesn't line up, but it still fits and works perfectly.
