Transmission Swap
Hey,
i'm new to the forums here and have a quick question. i attempted a search, but didnt quite find the answer i was looking for. i have a d16y8 in my del sol right now. that clutch bearings are jacked up, and im betting that my gears are ground up. 3rd gear pops out and really really grinds, so i thought....why not just get a new transmission instead, locally theres a fellow selling a z6 trans for 250, and i imagine it will fit my engine block, but i'm just double checking to make sure i'm not missing anything, so my question is
if i drop my d16y8 trans and pop on a z6 will it work?
thanks in advance

Re: Transmission Swap
the only issue you have in swapping d series transmissions is the d15, which have less inner clearance for the flywheel and a smaller flywheel its self. double check the transmission code
