Transmission removal and questions (56k, screw you!)
Well I finally got around to pulling my transmission off after driving my mom's Cutlass for 2 days (torture!)
I managed to finally take some pics of my work because I'm at Mike's house (02WRXmbp) doing the work.

Re: Transmission removal and questions (94si94cx)
My questions are in regards to the last 2 pictures.
The clutch has been my problem of late and it turned out that a few (dont ask how, I've yet to figure that out yet) of my flywheel bolts came slightly lose. This was causing the clutch to not disengage. The flywheel bolts were in turn rubbing against the clutch disc causing that scarring that you see above. Is it absolutely necessary to replace this disc or should it be fine assuming that the bolts no longer rub on it?

It took you two days to do this. granted now that youve done it your that much more experienced, but just spend 100 bucks or whatever it costs for a clutch disc for the piece of mind. and use some loctite on those bolts.

Re: (johnzm)
From the looks of the scarring, I'd be safe and replace it. When you put everything back together make sure you use some loctite and torque the bolts to the proper specs.

Re: (ill phil)
Should be okay. My roommates flywheel bolts backed out on him because the ****** forgot to torque down the bolts (The car mumbled to a stop on the freeway) He used loctite on the bolts, and a TORQUE WRENCH when he put everything back in. He reused everything, and its been running fine.
