Transmission reliability
 

I i might purchase a 93 Civic HB dx with a automatic to manual swap in it. I was wondering how reliable this is. My dad keeps giving me shit over not to buy it. So i was wondering what the H-T professionals think.

As long as the swap was done right, and the price is reasonable go for it. I swapped a 5 speed into my girlfriend's '99 Prelude and it is as good as if it was made that way. That swap is way more difficult than a simple D series Civic.

car looks straight. take it to a trasmission shop and have them look over it to make sure it was done right.
