transmission problem
I found this online, can anybody tell me how to fix the problem?
or where is the transmission throttle cable that it's mentioning?
************************************************** ***********************
Problem: My car shifts harshly... when it shifts it jerks, a bad shift shock. What is causing it and how do I fix it?
Only for the computer controlled transmission. The transmission detects pedal dept via two points. One at the TPS and the other at the transmission. If the deeper you press the gas the less harsh it becomes then the problems lies on the out-of-adjustment at the transmission throttle cable.
Solution: Using a wrench, adjust the transmission throttle cable in small increments and test drive. Tip: The more the slack the harsher the shift.

he's talking about an auto trans....i've read that if you are having problems with harsh shifts it can often be cured by flushing the trans with new honda ATF....i had the same problem with my first car when i was 16 which was a slushie 3rd gen (87 hatch, OG babayyy) but i never really cared enough to do something about it. Try that.

Re: transmission problem (rayccfhk)
yeah get ready to replace the trans. You could try having a trans flush done at a shop But once they start shuddering/ slipping it time for a new one.
