well on the diagram. Number 13 is leaking on my transmission. Seem like I strip the tread inside. It wouldn't go in even. I've try some sort of glue to see if it would seal it in but no luck. I'm hoping there would be another way to fix this instead of me taking it to the machine shop to get it re thread. The screw goes in it's just fine since I [freak]ed up the thread a little bit it's not sealing that good. so please help. I've been trying to figure out a different route then the machine shop.

yeah i was thinking of doing that tomorrow, but wanted some more feed back on what other people have done. But would that seal in seal it in real good?

looks like thats your fill hole from the picture, you can also load up the threads with hondabond, that'll help too

i'll try that out. But i thought honda bond was only meant for gaskets.

if it isn't a huge gushing leak you shouldnt have a problem, it's probaly a good temparary fix for you, you should re tap it thought, dont quote me on it but ive used honda bond before, good luck

thanks I'm gonna need it. It's just a drip. but the longer that i don't fix it the more it will drip. any other suggestions will help out.

ya even a drip is too much, make sure it's tourqued to spec just to be safe, def get it tapped soon just to get it fix,

so when you mean tapped, you mean re tread right? damn thats is going to cost me a bit.

well i accidentally tighten it. And as i was doing it. it looked like i shaved like 3 lines of thread. The bolts goes in and all but just doesn't seal it in like before.

Don't put teflon tape on there.
Teflon and petroleum based products don't get along.

cool, I'm gland you said that before i went off to bed, but what would be my best bet sir? most shop down here don't re tread unless i take out the transmission. and i don't think i need to go that far just to re tread it so please if you can give me suggestions. I would really appreciate it. Thank for taking the time to respond back to me

Honestly, since you work at Autozone, do it yourself. You guys rent out tools and stuff last time I checked.
Take a tap and die set home with you. Take out the bolt in question and see what your next best bet would be as far as making new threads.
Go to your local hardware store and buy a bolt to fit your soon freshly cut threads.
Go back home and do your thing. Tranny doesn't need to be pulled out. Just yank off that side's tire. Should give you enough play room in there.
Carefully tap the hole. Drain all the old tranny fluid out to clear out any shavings that may have dropped in there. Might also be a good idea to "rinse" the new threads/hole with some fresh fluid and let that drain out the bottom. Keep your fingers crossed.

Because more than likely that's all most shops would do. They're not going to tear your tranny apart just to make sure no shavings get down inside there.

In the mean time, shoot the bolt and the area around it with brake cleaner and get all the oil off. Blob a decent size glob of hondabond on there and spread it all around. There's no pressure on that bolt, so any oil you DO get from there is just naturally dripping out. Hondabond will form a barrier and take care of that drip for you. It will seal, because the stuff is made to use in the corners of the valve cover. Lots of oil in there.

THANK YOU SIR! but i don't work at auto zone. haha i'm not sure where you got that from but yeah, i'll will do what you told starting on Monday, since Honda dealership part store doesn't open until Monday. And from there i'll keep you up with the updates. Thanks alot for taking your time to help me out. Not sure. I guess it was another tranny thread where the guy said he worked at autozone and he needed the car to get there. My bad.
