Default Transmission Casing removal?

I have a 1997 Civic cx Hatch manuel tranny and im currently in the process of changing one of the bearings. So im at the point where im trying to remove the transmission casing but it will only open about 1 or 2 inches and doesnt come out more than that. Ive been trying hard to get it off with a crowbar but not luck plz help. And yes all bolts are off!

Put the crowbar bar away and hope you didn't damage the transmission. Instead, get a pair of snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring. Also get a factory service manual for your car.
