Make sure you take all the bolts off, dont forget the starter bolt. also there is a dust shield at the bottom that needs to be taken off. After that, you know you have to pull it off the dowel pins, and then a little farther to clear the shaft from the engine.

holy crap, thats is a totally different question. LOL. Take all the bolts off around the tranny, and then you are going to have to pry it open, using a screw driver or something. it is kind of hard to do, bc you have to hold it up while you pry. It should come off. Use more than one screw driver and put them in different places around the tranny

that's great and all, but what about the countershaft c-clip?
tigueremalo, why don't you try searching. this has been covered numerous times. If you're too lazy to read how to do it the correct way, what makes you think that you should be taking the transmission apart?

dang, i cant believe i forgot that part. Check the FAQ and look for the Input Shaft Bearing DIY article. It will show a good picture of the C clip and how to get to it.

yeah and the detent ***** and springs and the 14mm bolt for reverse
you're best bet if you're gonna do anything with your tranny yourself, go to search and type in "Bense" and read everything this man has to say about trannies
