Default transmision

Hi, I have a 92 Civic with a D16A9 inside but the transmision has started to make some noises. I took it out and the synchros are wear down so I have to change them but not all de gearbox. Anyone who knows how much does it costs and where ? bye

I don't think Honda will sell just the synchro sets anymore.

I´ve found a D15 transmision. Can I put it in my D16A9?

Should be fine if you got it from another 89-92 Civic or CRX. I think the fourth gen was still sold outside of the U.S. until 1992.

You may not be able to use the D16A9 intermediate shaft or axles on that transmission though. Not 100% on that, just mentioning it in case anybody wants to chime in with a definitive answer.

Actually it's more than likely going to be a little longer, especially in fifth gear.
