Default transaxle oil. need real quick help.

Basically drive axle was pulled out and some oil leaked out. The oil was honey colored..i guess it looked like motor oil. This car is 5spd manual by the way. Question is...where do i refill that oil? is it from the tranny? if so i kno how to refill it. thnx

Yes its regular motor oil, theres a write up on here on how to do it with pictures if you want to look for it.

Anyhow on the side of the passenger side axel theres a bolt you remove, fill it untill it runs out of that hole. Then recap it. Simple as that, I use 5w30. A tip I've learned is to fill it from the VSS spot, you still want to remove the fill plug but its easier to pour the oil into the hole on the top from the vss instead.

I would recommend using Honda MTF rather than motor oil.

There doesnt have to be something wrong with the tranny to run it. I have it in mine and no problems.

whats in that synchomesh that makes it better and is that stuff graded like oil (5w30) i was thinkin of getting that if i could only get the damn axel seal to stop its leaking.(just put a new one from autozone thats a pos it leaves a lil open area between the seal and axel big enough to let the oil out.
