transaxel fluid recommendations 92-95 Civic?
I'm sure this has been asked many times prior but, Can someone suggest the best transaxel fluid for a S20, 5 spd Trans, other than Honda?
Thanks,

Unless you're having problems with grinding I'd stick with Honda MTF. I've been running it for over 2 years and have had nothing but good experiences with it. The Synchromesh FM is only worth the extra money IMHO when your tranny is grinding.

You can order the Honda MTF from one of the sites on here.
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com will ship to your door and I'm sure some other people can get you some more links to places.
As far as the Synchromesh you can pick that up from a GM dealer or from an Advance Autoparts type place under the name Penzoil I think.

Re: transaxel fluid recommendations 92-95 Civic? (Ricey McRicerton)
I lost my tranny without beating it or racing @160, 000 miles...I'm the second owner, the first being a hefer that used the car for basic trans...I suspect it had honda fluid in the box. So now the "new" used tranny is going to get the best recommended product out there...
IT seems GM syncromesh comes highly praised...
Thanks,
big George
