can you swap the pinion shaft from a b-series tranny and mate it with the main shaft of a d-series tranny....or can you get a bell housing adpater to bolt on a b-series to a d-series engine...or is there a company that makes a gear/syncro set that makes shorter gears for d-series trannys

Why not get an EX tranny? It has pretty short gears. It will make a hell of a difference.

I'm not sure about the compatibility of B and D series trannies, but I would venture to guess no.

No i belive the d and b series trannys wont mate
