Trans problem - power loss but rpm and mph climb - need ideas
Ok so I have been searching infomation on this for the past couple of days and all I can find info on is either guys with slipping clutches or guys who blow their final drive out so I wanted some ideas from others on this...
So pretty much I have a sohc vtec and it will putt, putt down the street but as soon as I go to wot it does fine pulls normal until I crossover, then both rpm and mph climb as if the car was going some where but it's like all power was lost and i'm just normal driving...
Now for every clutch slipping thread i have read everyones rpm's climb and mph stay the same...
and I have blown one diff out before and both rpm climb and mph climb but the car just sat there and that may also be the case for the guys who round off their final drive also...
But i still have somewhat of a pull so and i can also dd the car to... i have a back up trans and i'm going to be ordering a new clutch also later this week, and i plan on tearing this trans apart to find the problem eventually but pretty much looking to see if anyone else has any ideas as to what could be the problem....
Thanks in advance to the people who help
