Tranny's act different in cold weather?

Tranny's act different in cold weather?
As the weather turned colder here in ohio I have noticed my transmission has been hard to shift when the car is cold. Also, it will almost never go from 3rd-2nd anymore without abnormal pressure. Could this be the clutch since it has 152,000 miles or my tranny be screwed? Any help would be appreciated.

Probally a combination of both.
Change your tranny fluid maybe use some GM synchro mesh.
goodluck

Almost every car that I have driven with a manual transaxle has been extremely difficult to shift while the car is cold. After the car heats up, you should be able to shift as normal. I think it's because the transmission fluid thickens as it cools. As the fluid warms up, it becomes more liquid, lubricating the synchros and other internals.

It's not lubing well enough when it's cold. It's like the oil in your engine; It performs best when it's up to operating temperature.
Use Honda MTF or get some GM Syncromesh.

true that. Just be gentle tell the car is warm. That's what I do.

yah i think all Honda's are like that when they're cold....so i wouldn't worry about it ....as long as the shifter feels " normal " after you've been driving for a bit!!!...when it warms up and starts to lube it properly
