tranny swap
I am doing a auto to manual swap. Do I need to pull both axles or just the right axle (goes into the tranny)?? I am going to drop the tranny out of the bottom, but doing so only leaves 1 engine mount connected to the block do I need to use a hoist to hold the weight of the engine?? My last question is how do you remove the axles do I need to remove the clamp from the dust cove that goes into the tranny and the bolts will be there??

Re: tranny swap (bgoetz)
you need to remove both axles. you need to take the nut that holds the end of the tie rod off, the lower ball joint off, and the long 17 inch bolt at the bottom of the strut.and finally the big nut that holds the axel in. after all that you can wiggle and pry the axel out..
