Tranny for singcam turbo
I know DX tranny is best for single cam turbo because the long gears lets the turbo spoon up...but I also hear that a short gear tranny is good for short runs like off the line...is that tru? I like racing off the line so I want to be decent on the streets...

Then go with a Si or Ex tranny. Y8 would be best. I would stick with the Dx because being first off the line, just to get passed 10ft. later is no good either. Overall though a Y8 tranny should suit you well, and your turbo shouldn't lag too much.
Top speed=DX
First off the line=Y8

Well most d series tranny's are not ment to be placed in a boost set up. That includes the engine. An Y8 from an Ex will be stronger due to the steel shift fork. Diffs are the same and don't expect the DX tranny to be any better. Mine has 98 xxx orignal km and it is taking a dump on me. It's a real piece and I cannot wait till I finally put in my Si tranny. Oh and it's spool not spoon, but spoon is good **** too .
