Tranny/Shifting Problems (B16a in EK Coupe)
Alright gents, I own a 96 Coupe with an SiR-II swap into it and am currently having some tranny problems.
Problem:
A few days ago I got in my car to head off to work, only to find out that my car didn't want to go into gear. When I shifted over to put it into first, It felt like it was already in gear(it was in neutral) and wouldn't go into gear. I also noticed as I tried to shift into gear, the car would start to roll forward/backward as if the clutch was still gripping the flywheel. After pleading/yelling at the car I finally managed to 'forcefully' get the car to slide into first. After getting it to go into gear, it would shift smoothly as if nothing was wrong. I would say this happens about 80% of the time I attempt to drive the car.
At first I thought this would be related to a clutch going bad, which was good because I have a replacement one on hand already, but after talking to my friend we think it might be the Master/Slave cylinder going bad. Anyone have any idea? I wanted to get another opinion as to what this could be before I pull my motor out to get in the tranny.
Thanks in advace,
-Greg
