Tranny Question

well im getting my new exedy clutch installed next week, and was wondering if i should also get a flywheel before the install. I just want to know if a new flywheel is worth getting, and also will i have to get the same brand flywheel as my new clutch? Just don't want to have to drop my tranny later down the road. thx.

Re: Tranny Question (EM1VtecSi)

yes flywheel is worth getting... the type-r is nice, but the the best bang-for-your-buck flywheels i've found are the act streetlite (~12lbs) and prolite (~8lbs)

no, it doesnt need to match your clutch brand

If your getting a new clutch you must get your flywheel resurfaced, stock or new. and if you plan on boosting stay stock, those lightened flywheels aren't so good at with standing high hp boosted rides, well it's what i've heard. An extra half pound of boost will substitute for the power loss of a stock fly wheel. but if your not boosting whatever i wasted your time lol
