i have a stock d16y7 in my 97 dx, and i was wondering if i could swap in a z6 or equivalent trans. is it the same to mount/run for all hydro trans?? im in dire need of a new trans, and one came up... need to know if will fit or not (also if a 95 clutch would work..?) thanks much!

Re: tranny question (crazykamper)
for your y7 motor any d-series from 92-2000 tranny will bolt right up, so the z6 tranny will fit and its better than your y7 tranny.

Yes, it'll work, clutch is the same, tranny is the same. completely interchangeable.
Edit, by tranny is the same i mean it bolts up the same, Z6 is geared better, but completely interchangeable, just wanted to clarify.
