tranny question
About a year ago i started having problems with my tranny. In the morning i would go start my car and i wouldnt go into first gear. I had to kinda push it in easily even though i didnt want to. I lived about 30 minutes away from work and i didnt have any problems other then what had usually happened in the morning. Well after a while it wouldnt go into gear when i would leave for work.
I talked to some mechanics and they said it could be my slave and clutchmaster cylinder. Which my clutchmaster cylinder was leaking so i changed it. Right after i changed it, it was worse then before. My mechanic told me that u have to bleed the system for a long time to make sure there isnt any air at all. He bled the system for about 45 minutes and it still was worse.
Now im at the point where i have to shove it into gear or it wont go in,BUT after like 10 minutes of driving it kindagoes away and sometimes maybe once a day it shifts perfect for about 30 seconds. I aslo noticed a lil whine that u can barely hear while im driving but when i press down the clutch it goes away. I also feel like the clutch isnt engaging all the way i did a search and im just confused maybe i need a new clutch which the clutch was only like 8 months old it was a centerforce dual friction stage 3. What do u think? thanks for the help

I had the same problems with my tranny I still do till this day. My advice start fresh with a different tranny and take care of it. Youll probably save money rather then trying to fix the tranny itself which may cost more to rebuild. Just my two cents

Re: (stuff215)
thats exactly what i was thinking but id rather do trial by error b-c if the tranny isnt bad i dont want to get rid of it and if its just the clutch then i would buy a new one. its just a pain in the *** to take off the tranny to see whats the problem and i just dont feel like doing it, id rather pay someone to do it. i just dont know.
