tranny ok? metal shavings and looseness...
I have this d16z6 tranny that has been sitting for awhile (dont know how long) w/o oil. I was flushing it today with sum 10w30 cos i saw sum metal shavings on the speed sensor. It looked like a lot of metal shavings coming out, little specks, dunno for sure if it was metal but what else would it be? I turned the mainshaft by hand when there was no oil in it, could that have caused these metal shavings?
Also the splines where the driveshafts go into are all loose. I don't mean the splines are damaged, but whatever that piece is you can wiggle around with your finger when you stick it in the driveshaft holes.

dead input shaft bearing before being stored.
Bring it to Detroit sometime when I'm up and I'll look at it.
