Tranny leaking, New seals made it worse.
Okay, I just did an Axle replacement, and figured that since I was in there, Might as well put seals in too. On draining the old oil, I found it was neither Honda MTF nor 10w30... It was 90 weight gear oil... On fill up, I filled through the Vehicle Speed Sensor port. I filled it till it came out the fill plug, put the fill plug back in, and added 4 more ounces of tranny oil. (Because I had the car jacked up on a hill, I didn't think that it was filled all the way, hence the extra MTF.) The tranny had been leaking a little bit for some time before the swap. After putting about 100 miles on the car, I was on the highway, when I decided to pull over and check it... I saw it leaking at about a drip per seccond. Also, note that the drain and fill plugs had no crush washers on them. What may be the cause?
Multiple choice:
A.)The original 90 weight fucked up the input shaft and case seals so badly that the new, thinner Honda MTF is flowing out.
B.) I over filled it. Driving hard around a highway ON-ramp doesn't help either.
C.) I pushed the axle seals in a bit too far and hit the differential carrier. THe carrier has now cut the seals up and I need to try again.
D.) All of the above.
E.) Wait a bit and let the seals break in, then check it again.
F.) **** your multiple choice bullshit. I have my own answer.

Okay.. They have to seal themselves.. Cool... I'll give it another tank of gas (330-380 Miles) and post again if it's still leaking. I'll also be sure to check out the level every now and again. (If I remove the VSS, I should be able to see the oil level. That's where it came to when I filled it.)
I did oil them, smeared MTF on the outside with my finger, cleaned the place on the tranny where the seal goes with a fresh rag.
BTW... One other thing.. I'm an ***... I lost the vent cap... I just remembered to check for it. Is it important, or can I just stick a section of hose on it?

Yeah.. Some *** fucked this car up before i bought it... Too bad I needed a car ASAP and this was within price range.
Theres a severe gap between the engine and tranny where some *** pried them apart to change the clutch... The radiator has JB weld holding the upper hose nipple on... No crush washers on the plugs... 90 weight in the tranny... Body damage...
Okay.. I'm gonna go for some crush washers... And another couple quarts MTF.
