tranny leaking form axel!!! ALOT!
so i get my new DSS stage one axels for my H22A EG swap and the on the passenger side of the tranny ther is a huge leak from the axel hole thingy!
i have replaced the both seals there and it was fine then all the suddan it was just pooring out!
i was able to move the axel in maby a CM but it continued to leak but not as much.
i can also get under there and move the cup in and out. am i supposta to be able to do this?
could it be a manufacture defect?
thx all!
and here is a pic to lure you all in muahhhahahahaha!

there should be no gap between the seal and the axel, and the axel should have very little play if any. If u can move the axel 1cm, then u have got to do something about that

when in doubt, change it anyways, better to change it while u can rather than finding out later u should have changed it and have to take everything apart again. well u should change the seals, the axel is supposed to be right up against it creating a "seal" if the axels arent in all they way, it could damage the diff or the axel, or both. hopefully they are not

sounds like the clip on the axle came off. you should only be able to move the axle a cm or two. and the leaking could be a seal

I feel you man. I went through hasport for my driveshaft shop axles for my B18C-R / 5th gen civic set up. Its easy for them to put the wrong snap rings on the shaft.
Do they lock in at all...snap...crackle...or pop? (kinda makes you hungry huh? )
