tranny leak help!
The tranny seems to be leaking between the bell housing, and clutch housing, is there a seal there? its not a major leak but its a leak. looks like the previous owner sealed it think they claimed when they put the lsd? was curious if i took off that sealant and re sealed it would it fix the problem? is there easyer ways to find out what it is? im selling the car and i want to fix it before the new owner picks it up.

Could be one of two things.
1.) Sometimes a leak can come from where the shifter meets the transmission (bitch pin area) due to a bad seal. Fluid will leak out and trickle down between bell and clutch housing.
2.) Worst case scenario, your Input Shaft Bearing is on its way out, and its splooging MTF all over your clutch, which in turn will leak out from under the transmission in your clutch casing.
Edit:
Heres a pic of when i opened a transmission. Shown is the ISB, under it theres a rubber seal that can sometimes go bad and let fluid leak out into the clutch housing:
If thats the case, you have to open your tranny to replace it, or have some shop do it. If a shop does do it for you, it will be costly
