tranny issues! pls help!
Hi,
basically I have a 95 Si tranny that I swapped out when I did my auto/manual conversion. I dont think its cable and I know its not hydraulic. It's just the shift linkage or bar thing thats comes from the shifter to the tranny. Do I have cable or what? Also it's not smooth going into gears, although I do have a short shifter and that makes it feel stiff, I want smooth shifting. Would a hydraulic tranny be the way to go? Someone take me to school here. Thanks

Hydro trans = Uses hydro power to engage and disengage the clutch.
Cable trans = Uses cable to engage and disengage the clutch.
If it is a 95 si trans, it is hydro. All 92+ civics are hydro. Your transmission may be bad.
