Tranny and flywheel questions
i was wondering how much of a diffrence will it make if i swapped out my ls tranny for a b16 tranny? will it improve my car alot?it would be for a b16a2. and has anyone ever gotten there stock flywheel lightend? and if so are they still reliable and have you had any probs with them. i heard that stock flywheels that are lightend are very unreliable or will break easily. please let me know, want to do this stuff soon. thanks

If you get flywheels lightened, you need to get them balanced too. I didn't want the hassle and just got an aluminum one. A dream to drive at 7.5lbs.
Can't help you with the tranny question, sorry.

Re: Tranny and flywheel questions (94CivicSi)
ls trannies are bad for v-tec engines because the gears are longer so when you upshift you fall out of the v-tec range, so get the b16 tranny

B16 tranny ratios are incredibly quick...I don't like it that much...I'm thinking of swapping mine for a GSR tranny.
