Tranny Fluid Leak After clutch replacement
so i just finished changing out my clutch, wheel bearings, balljoints and tierods and today i noticed i was leaking tranny fluid. when i put my tranny back on i forgot to put that metal plate (forgot what its called(at the bottom of tranny where tranny and engine meet)). people have told me that i didnt need that plate cuz they didnt put it back on theres. but now im guessing i do??
i have a d16y7 and changed the clutch for the same oem clutch.
thanks in advance!!

Re: Tranny Fluid Leak After clutch replacement (EK-NICE)
Its one of two seals in that area, The mainshaft seal on the transmission, or the one on the engine. If the fluid is clean its most likely the trans one, if its dirty then its the engine side. Unfortunetly you have to remove the trans to replace them.
