tranny dilemma
My main shaft bearing is going out, makes a dragging, scraping noise when the clutch is engaged.
My choises are:
1) get a new tranny. I can get them dirt *ss cheap, but I wouldnt know the condition. Mine has only 89,000 miles on it, so its pretty much guaranteed the tranny with wich I replace mine will be in worse condition overall.
2) Take my car to a shop and have them rip apart my tranny to replace the bearing. This would be much more expensive at a shop, but I cant do it in my back yard. I would know my tranny is in great shape if did it that way, though. It shifts so damn well, not even a reverse grind.
