Tranny codes, tech question
I found someone with what they say is a 1997 ex tranny with 47k on it. Since this would fit my setup ( it will won't it??? I have a VX currently) i wanted to check it out more. They say it has the same code on it as the DX tranny, do the EX and DX have matched trannies in this year?

it has the same code as the dx tranny. They have the same codes and it has turned a lot of people off. It has approx. 45k on the tranny. I did a motor swap for a buddy of mine and got stuck with the tranny and I dont have any use for it. Sorry, I don't have pictures. Buyer pays for shipping. Thanks

The ex tranny will bolt up to your vx (i'm assuming you are still sohc), and no the dx and ex trannies are not the same. I'll get you the tranny code in a little bit unless someone finds it before me.
Okay the 96 up EX tranny code is a k4f. You should see a sticker and or a stamping on the tranny case.
