Default Tranny code

Hi guys. I just got a jdm b16a 2nd gen for my eg ans when you look at the tranny it's not the same color as the block it's self. There is a code bar on it with this number Y80-1009747. My mecanics tells me that its a integra ls tranny just by de number on the code bar. So then I called at the shop that i got my engine and he told me that it's impossible because they dont remove anything on the engines when they receive em' .

So can we find out witch tranny it really is with only the number i have ??

Thx

sounds like an integra tranny, if the motor and tranny is already in your car do this, on the highway cruise @ 80 mph in 5th and look at your rpm guage, if your at 4k, it from a GSR. If 4.5k or higher might be b16a, but if under 4k, might be from an LS. how is the acerleration of your car?

if you do a search on "y80"

Y80 could be from:
US 97-01 ITR
JDM 95-97 ITR
JDM 92-00 SiR/CTR
US 94-01 GS-R
JDM 93.5-01 SiR/SiG
