Default tranny

i have a 97 hx with a 5 spd. tranny. i want to do a motor swap...b18c1, my car has a d16y5 right now...would my tranny work if i were to do a motor swap, or would i have to get a new one?

D series transmissions do not work on B series engines, no. Usually when you get a swap, the price includes the proper transmission.

No. You'll need: Motor, tranny, ECU, axles, shift linkage, mounts from the new motor. Do a search next time or check in the hybrid forum. Thanks.
