Tranmission Fluid Leaking from top zzz
this older firebird came along side of me and wanted to race , so i step on the gas till red line and moved into second , i started to smell this burning oil from the vents so i pulled over and poped my hood , the transmission fluid was all over my inner hood and was vary hot. any ideas?

More information, I mean the only places I could think beyond the seal that it would leak would be, through one of the two axles, the fill hole on the side, and/or the VSS, but if it's leaking or shooting up from there I think you have some problems. You need to find out where it's coming from first.
Wipe everything down as best as possible, either take it for a minute long spin, pull off to the side of the road and take a look to see what areas around the transmission are now wet/slippery.

Plano texas??? Hahaha ummm...chec the tranny fluid return lines on the top to make sure excexx fluid isn't pouring out of them. Mine did where the fkuid was coming from that before because I didn't know

jus tmaking sure you dont have an automatic transmission right? All I can think of is that a cooling line on an auto tranny burst or something. On a manual tranny the only places fluid could come from is the speed sensor or the drain holes. unless obviously you crack the tranny housing somehow.
