Traded the Stang for a Civic B20Z
I had the Stang for about 2 months before someone wanted to trade their '00 Civic B20Z with an SI tranny, intake and exaust. Only thing it has a Salvage title "due to theft" but the car has been fully restored. This thing is tight, it feels faster than my GSR. With the title and mods, what is this thing worth?? Couldn't have happend at a better time, the stang was a gas hog.

Judging from his sig, looks like its an '00 SI.

"due to theft" ? you sure about that? You ran a carfax first right?
As long as you're happy with it I guess it's a good deal.
What year, trim, was the buttstang?

Salvage Title
If you don't care about insurance
an EX with a B20z maybe worth 12-15k if the motor is built well?
Salvage Title
now probly around 7-9k

I really checked the body, and the VIN#'s on the fenders, doors, bumpers to make sure the matched. Also I looked in the trunk and engine bay for crumpled sheet metal and for overspray in case they repainted it. The story was that the interior was stripped. Everything checked out. The stang was a 94 GT 5speed and was immaculate and completely stock.

Re: Traded the Stang for a Civic B20Z (Nihonjin Desu)
that is what i love about SC
no inspection PERIOD, no smog no nothing
if it goes down the road without hurting people it is legal
the other day i saw a van leave a smokescreen that followed the thing for like 100 feet+ and it passed right in front of a cop and he didn't even look at it. Us here in SC have it good but at the same time have it really bad, we have some of the highest insurance rates in the country

It's fine.............
"How'd you get this thing through safety inspection?"
"I've got a couple buddies"
10 minutes later
"You smell that pollution? Hey dude how'd you get this thing through emissions?"
"Same way I got it through inspection"
Hahahaha

Might have passed this time, but your days are numbered until they find out about it... Anyone who doesn' think so is only fooling themselves.

Did you get a CARB sticker from a REF or did you just pay someone to ignore the engine? I'd liek to know, because I'd like to do a B20 swap, but only if I can do it legally.

Re: Traded the Stang for a Civic B20Z (nonsense)
Really dont know Ive never had a car with a swapped engine, The previous owner gave it to me with the smog papers, so its legit as far as I know, if it doesnt have a carb sticker then does that mean its illegal? I'd like to know. Thanks
