you have a few different options-
1) get rid of the jdm ecu for a usdm one
2) have that ecu chipped to remove the traction search
3) do some research as to what the ecu is looking for - voltage/resistance and try to emulate it with something else

Its probably nothing that will disable vtec or limit the rev range, however, and you could always just ignore the cel. Of course, then you might want to check it every couple weeks to be sure youre not throwing anything else

if you're chipped...
Disable error:
rom.byteAt(0x3DB4)=0x95;
Enable error:
rom.byteAt(0x3DB4)=0x85;
