TPS WIRING
Hi!
I'm wiring up my zex kit, and I'm wondering which wire is the voltage output wire?
Any help would be nice.
Also any recommendations on a good manual for cam change procedure. I've had good luck with the Haynes manuals, anyone else have a suggestion?
Thanks!
Kurt

Re: TPS WIRING (re-animator)
with the key on, use a volt meter with the range set to 12 volts, put the black on the neg batt post, and back probe the wires. the one with .5 +- volts with the throttle closed and 4.5- 5.0 volts wide open is your signal wire. sorry i cannot remember off hand which one it is, but anyway, i still check everyone i do that way.

Re: TPS WIRING (boostedcivicsir)
Thanks,
Checking is the best way. Sometimes I get lazy, though. I'll break out the VOM and do it that way.
I bought the only manual I could find for it. It's a chilton's, and describes the R&I very well.
I'll probably do the cam swap next wekend, I'll let everybody know how it goes.

Re: TPS WIRING (re-animator)
I believe its a 3 wire sensor and its the middle wire...I cant remember the colors. Just take a dvom..black to ground and red on any of the 3 and floor the gas pedal and the one that spikes at close to 5 and slowly goes down as you let off the gas is the one you tap into
