tps problem???

Re: tps problem??? (team_lunatics)
i don't have a h22a, but they should be the same as B-series TPS.
I'll try to explain it as clear as possible.
Tools: Digital Voltmeter, wire splicer, electrical tape, whatever screw driver you need for the screws you have holding the TPS
Unplug the sensor plug, if you look at the TPS senor plug. There are three wires, looking at it from left to right. The first one should be +12V, middle is the SIGNAL wire, and right is Negative.
Splice the middle wire (signal wire) and the right one (negative).
Splice it jux enough for the voltmeter's niddle to stick in the wire.
*DO NOT CUT the wire*
Plug back in the Sensor plug back on the TPS sensor.
Turn the ignition on, (CAR NOT RUNNING) jux need power.
At this point, if the you haven't already done so, stick the voltmeter niddle's into the two spliced wire. BLack niddle with the NEGATIVE wire, and red niddle with the SIGNAL wire.
Turn the voltmeter selector to 12V reading.
You should get a + signal reading. Example: .20, .35, .30 , .60, and etc.
Not slowly turn your TPS sensor until you get the right voltage.
.5 volt completely close
4.5 v at Wide open throttle
when you get .5 volt at close, tigthen the screws while monitoring the voltage reading.
When that's done, test the TPS by opening the throttle and let it close.
Readings should be at describe above.
Close the opening in the wire with electrical tape.
That pretty much sums it all.
*All this is done with car NOT RUNNING
