00 civic em1 with 01 b18c1 motor n tranns with si wiring harness..... when neutral, you press the gas about 1500-2000 rpm it starts making a ---2 step sound- and idle surging while driving. i replaced the iac 3 times with 3 different iac .... what could it be?

CEL codes? Have you checked the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor?

the iacv and map plugs are different.

If you tried three diff iac valves and you're still showing the code you need to troubleshoot the circuit and try a known good ecu. Also make sure the base idle is set correctly.

Do you have an OBDI or OBDII ECU. If you have the latter, what is the OBDII code that is thrown?

Is this actually a running problem rather than idle problem because you mention that the problem occurs only with the pedal pushed or while driving?

to my knowledge i have a P2T ecu and its obd2b, the code showing is iacv

when idling the rev at 1500-2000rpm bounce like a 2 step rev limiter, (ecu stock)

when driving from around 2000-2900rpm car sometimes surge and bounce back and forth

Post the specific OBDII code. There is at least two different IACV OBDII codes. For example, is it P0505?

Bump, having this same problem. Car used to surge from 25-3000 at cold start, then settled down to a solid 900 with no driving issues. Couple days ago cel comes on, p0505. Disconnected the battery, cleaned the iacv, put everything back together. Car still surges at idle but no cel. Took it for a ride and there's a stutter when I get off the gas between 2500 and 3000. I ordered a new gasket from Acura but the old one still has some spring left in it. Any ideas? Turning the AC on keeps the car idling steady at 1100 and when i plug the top hole in the tb with my finger the car idles at 100 too.
